Big Agnes was founded by Bill Gamber in 2001 and is based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, with roots in the Zirkel Wilderness of northwestern Colorado. It makes tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads and outdoor gear, including the lightweight VST tent line, bikepacking-specific tents and the Rapide sleeping pad, and describes itself as sustainability-focused.
