Clif Bar began after founder Gary Erickson, on a 175-mile one-day bike ride, could not face another unappetizing energy bar and set out to make a better-tasting one. It makes CLIF energy bars, CLIF BUILDERS protein bars with 20g of protein, LUNA bars and Zbar kids' snacks for sport, outdoor activity and everyday use.
