Description

Franklin Sports makes sporting goods including baseball gear, pickleball products and equipment for many other sports, and sells official MLB gear. Brothers Sydney and Irving Franklin founded it in Brockton, Massachusetts, in 1946, using scrap leather from local shoe factories to make footballs, boxing gloves, basketballs and baseball gloves. In 1984 it invented the Pro Classic, which it calls the first-ever batting glove. Over the years it has worked with athletes such as Joe Namath, Sugar Ray Leonard, David Robinson, Dan Marino and Barry Bonds, and it has released limited batting gloves with Fear of God.
