Description

Grivel began as a blacksmith's workshop in Courmayeur, where its first essential tool was an ice axe used by local guides. A 1909 meeting between alpinist Oscar Eckenstein and Henri Grivel led to the crampon, and the brand still designs precision equipment for demanding alpine terrain.
