Description

MERIDA was founded in Taiwan in 1972 by Ike Tseng, who, according to company legend, was inspired by a US bike shop sign refusing to repair poor-quality bikes. The company still hand-builds bicycles in Taiwan, and in 2023 the founder's grandson Vansen Tseng became president, the third generation to lead it.
