Description

Orbea makes bicycles for demanding riders, including road, mountain and other bikes. Its history began in 1840 in Eibar, in the Basque Country, as a family business run by three brothers, Juan Manuel, Mateo and Casimiro, who made and sold handguns under the name Orbea Hermanos (Orbea Brothers). Orbea has since become a cooperative: it has marked fifty years since a group of people, many of them relatives, took over the company and turned it into a co-op.
