ORTOVOX made its name with the F2, a dual-frequency avalanche transceiver developed by Gerald Kampel and Jürgen Wegner that became the market leader within two years. The brand later added avalanche rucksacks and shovels and now pairs mountain safety equipment with wool-based sports clothing.
