Zipp has made carbon wheels from scratch in Indianapolis for over 30 years, laying up rims by hand from single plies of carbon at its own factory. Part of SRAM, the brand hand-builds complete wheels in Indianapolis or Portugal depending on the region, alongside handlebars and other road and gravel components.
