Description

Bestard is a family-owned Spanish mountain-footwear maker founded in Lloseta, Mallorca, in 1940. It began as a workshop making custom men’s shoes and specialized in mountain boots in the 1970s. The company still keeps its factory and much of its production in Lloseta, near the Serra de Tramuntana, rather than moving all manufacturing abroad. Its current footwear covers high-altitude mountaineering, trekking, hiking, approach and speed-trail use. The brand emphasizes small, carefully controlled production runs and tests its boots in the surrounding mountains.
